What's Jesus doing in Belize? Edition 1 October 2001 Dear Friends and Family of God, Greetings in the Name of Jesus from the beautiful Caribbean nation of Belize. I think I have most of your email addresses on file. There might be one or two pastors that I dont have an email address for. Please send me your e-mail address so I can add your name to my e-news list. There are times I need emergency prayer or emergency assistance and there is no time to wait on snail mail. So please send me your e-address. And if there is anyone reading this newsletter and you would like to be added to the list also, just send me an e-mail letting me know that you would like to be added. July was one of our busiest months here at the A/G National Camp and Conference Center. We held PK Camp, Spanish Youth Camp, Carmelita Camp, and Intermediate Camp. So each week in July was full. We also had teams from Michigan and Oklahoma. In August we held Kids Camp. Also in August, the National Youth Department took its first ever foreign missions trip to the earthquake stricken nation of El Salvador. This was history in the making for the Belize Assemblies of God newly created missions department. I was originally listed to be on this team. But I had an opportunity to take some degree level classes through the Caribbean School of Theology. So I took the classes instead. The classes were very intense. We had to literally study day and night to complete the studies in three weeks. Whew! Some nights we were still hitting the books at 2:00 am and then back up at 6:00 am. But thank God, I made it! I completed all the course work prescribed and received my certificate for advance studies.

In September Victory A/G of Ladyville held a weekend long Youth Retreat here at the camp. I was asked to teach on the the Holy Spirit and also to preach on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The rally went very well. Many teens received the baptism. Also in September our National Youth Director, Pastor Raymundo, who also pastors a church and overseas a Latin America ChildCare School in the village of Valley of Peace held a teachers conference here at the camp. It was a day of fasting and prayer, and instruction. Once again, I was invited to teach on the attributes of the Holy Spirit in the morning sessions and to preach on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in the afternoons closing session. We had a wonderful service. I gave an altar call and two teachers accepted the Lord. Every single teacher came to the altar to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. God really moved upon us. Every single teacher in Pastor Raymundos school is now born again and Spirit-filled! Now this is what a Christian school should look like! Also in September, I began using the camp Chapel on Monday evenings to hold a Bible Study/Prayer meeting kind of a thing. Im calling it Prayer, Praise & Promises We held our first meeting Monday and 20 people came from Ontario Village where I live. I was very pleased. The service went very well. In fact it was received so well by the villagers, that I am expecting it to double in size the second week and I am expecting God to do great and mighty things in this new meeting. Please keep us Prayer, Praise & Promises in your prayers. Special Financial Need: I have an unexpected financial need with my pickup truck. There is simply not enough money in my budget to cover the cost of repairs.
